Initiate will be screening demos in booth #7033 at HIMSS

As HIMSS is now right around the corner, I wanted to preview the Initiate product features and functionality that will be on display. With all the activities at HIMSS, don’t miss the chance to view some of the real-world issues being addressed with Initiate technology. All these demos will be available on demand in the Initiate booth, #7033, so stop by during exhibit hours to learn more.

A great example of an everyday issue for physicians and patients occurs at the point of patient registration. Initiate and Allscripts have partnered to deploy Shared Registration for UMass Memorial Health Care to address this everyday issue.

At HIMSS, see a live demo of active integration between Initiate® Exchange and Allscripts MyWay so a physician can search not only local patient demographic data, but also patient information from connected community physicians. The physician can retrieve the latest patient information from the community, reducing patient registration time and opportunities for missing or incorrect information.

With Initiate Exchange physicians can rapidly enable information sharing within a community without compromising governance or ownership.

In addition to the Shared Registration demo, Initiate will also be demonstrating other advanced features of Initiate Exchange. These live demos will reveal Initiate Exchange capabilities as an intelligent information sharing platform that enables health systems to connect disparate physician practices to meet meaningful use requirements and succeed at health information sharing initiatives.

Initiate Exchange Results Viewer – Provides web-based viewing of clinical results for those physicians who have not adopted an EMR in their practice. Designed to provide physicians a simple and quick view of lab results, thus simplifying the process for practices to receive and use clinical results. The viewer is a simple and effective approach to engage physicians to participate in the electronic healthcare community.

Initiate Exchange Document and Image Sharing – As part of the connected community, physicians will have access to radiology reports across affiliated labs and imaging centers through secured web access. This includes radiology results (including CT, MRI, X-rays and other diagnostic images) all available at any time from a browser.

It’s truly an exciting time at Initiate and these new capabilities allow health systems to realize true health information exchange.

HIMSS will also be a chance to showcase the latest healthcare specific capabilities of Initiate Master Data Service 9.0 core product release and Data Quality Suite. The core Initiate platform is the foundation for Initiate Patient and Initiate Provider master index offerings and includes improved relationship management and data stewardship tools. The Data Quality demo will show how Initiate can strengthen data quality processes and reduce the use of incorrect data in health information systems.
